CYCLING ROUTES AND IMPORTANT AREAS OF THE DESTINATION

The Ripollés proposals are physically demanding, due to its orography and the altitude where the activity takes place. Some of them have been the scene of competitions such as the Tour of Catalonia and the Tour of Spain, where mythical cyclists such as Miguel Indurain have crowned.

Cycling in Vallter will impress you!

First of all, the spectacular climb to the 1st category cycling port of Vallter 2000 awaits you, which has been the end of the stage in various editions of the Tour of Catalonia and the Tour of Spain.

The road is specially signposted along the entire route (12 km), which begins in the town of Setcases at 1260m a.s.l. and culminates in the upper parking lot of the Vallter 2000 Ski and Mountain Resort, at 2,155 meters above sea level, with a total ascending slope of 895 meters.

It is also a great ascent, worthy of the best cycling laps, with vertical signs throughout the route, in which the cyclist, once at the top, can enjoy the spectacular views of the “Circ de Morens” and can rest in the bar-restaurant (opening period).
